Phoenix Contact is a global leader in electrical engineering and manufacturing of electronic and electrical devices. So when Gettle Incorporated was selected to be involved in the construction of their Development and Manufacturing Building at the US Headquarters in Middletown, PA, we were very pleased to be a part of the project team.

The project consisted of a three-story 125,000-square foot addition to increase engineering and production capabilities. The addition included 50,000 square feet of lab and office space, 50,000 square feet of production and support, along with 25,000 square feet for training rooms, cafeteria with full kitchen, and a wellness office.

The design is representative of a European facility with the comfort and collaboration of employees being the focal point of the design. Care was taken to make the building energy efficient and with the exterior walls being high efficient glass, this allowed for daylight harvesting in combination with automatic sensor controlled lighting for most areas. The low-wall common areas would also lend to a more energy efficient lighting installation.

Three of our five divisions including Electrical, Fire/Security, and Datacom, were proud to be involved this project. Gettle looks forward to a continued relationship with the great group of individuals that make up the Phoenix Contact team, and assisting them in their future growth.
